VIDEO TRANSCRIBERS
Y Care International requires motivated and committed Volunteer Video Transcribers.
We have an immediate need for people who can volunteer their time to transcribe video interviews, working from home anywhere in the UK, or from our office near Old St, central London. The person(s) will also need to touch type as transcribing is time-consuming, be used to understanding highly accented English, and familiar with different cultures.
In this position you’ll help the Fundraising and Communications team to create case studies of young beneficiaries from Y Care International’s International programmes around the world. The interviews will be used in aid agency’s communications to show first-hand how beneficiaries’ lives have been changed for the better by the project.
If you have the skills and experience to make the most of this opportunity, combined with an interest in international development issues, we would like to hear from you.
This post is unpaid, but with Greater London travel and lunch expenses reimbursed if you work from the office. Working from home is also possible if you have a computer that can play videos from DVD.
Please contact the Communcations Manager, Sue Wheat as soon as possible on mailto:sue.wheat@ycareinternational.org

VIDEO EDITORS
Y Care International requires skilled and committed Volunteer Video Editors.
We have an immediate need for people who can volunteer their time to produce short videos from footage our Fundraising and Communications team collect on trips where we gather case studies.
We have basic video editing software in the office, or the person(s) could work from their own office. Videos are generally already transcribed, which makes editing quicker and easier and you would get a written brief from the Communications team.
In this position you’ll help the Fundraising and Communications team to create video case studies of young beneficiaries from Y Care International’s International programmes around the world. The videos will be used in Y Care International's digital communications to show first-hand how beneficiaries’ lives have been changed for the better by the project, or why there is a need for our support.
We would like to create a 'pool' of experienced video editors that we can contact at any time to see who may be available, so that we are not reliant on any one person too much and this volunteer work can be fitted in at quiet times of paid work.
If you have the skills and experience to make the most of this opportunity, combined with an interest in international development issues, we would like to hear from you.
This post is unpaid, but with Greater London travel and lunch expenses reimbursed if you work from the office. Working from home/office may be preferred.
Please send your application form as soon as possible on recruitment@ycareinternational.org with details of your experience and availability and examples of your work either online or by sending in a DVD.
