LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR

(9-12 months maternity cover)

Part time, three days per week. £26,000 pro rata (including London Weighting)

Y Care International is looking for a dynamic and motivated person to manage a diverse portfolio of projects across Latin America and the Caribbean aimed at addressing the needs and rights of vulnerable young people.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level; fluent in written and spoken English with the ability to work in Spanish; have working experience in international development project management, including direct responsibility for developing and managing projects funded by large donors such as Comic Relief; have experience of working with southern-based local organisations; have good financial management skills; and be able to work well within a team.

The postholder will be expected to travel overseas occasionally, sometimes at short notice.

Commitment to Y Care International's ‘Working with Children and Young People Policy' is a requirement of employment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure.
