Here are some fun and effective ways to raise money for Y Care International anywhere. 

Online auctions
Clear the attic and sell your unwanted items through an internet auction site. Make sure you specify where the proceeds are going.

Wine tasting evening
Sell tickets and enlist the help of a local wine expert to give you a guided tour through a selection of wines.

Champagne breakfasts / afternoon teas / dinner parties
Start the day a little differently and invite your friends around for a leisurely champagne breakfast. Alternatively, you could host a traditional afternoon tea or dinner party. Ask them for a donation to Y Care International in return, or hold a raffle and sell tickets.

Car boots
Somewhere, every weekend, there is a car boot sale. Set up a table for Y Care International and sell your unwanted bric-a-brac. If you're feeling brave you could even ask the other vendors to donate some of their goods to your table.

Promises auction
Ask individuals and local businesses for auction lots that money can't usually buy. Individuals could offer an hour's gardening, an evening's babysitting or a week in their holiday home. Local businesses could offer a personal shopper, a studio portrait, a hamper or a haircut.  Either ask for sealed bids or hold a dinner auction.

Run an anything -athon
The possibilities are endless. Choose an event and collect sponsorship for the minute, the mile or the mouthful. You could run, swim, dance, sleep, sing or eat.

Karaoke night
Hire a karaoke machine or a room in a karaoke bar. You could even take over the local pub. Ask people pay £1 to sing a song, or even more to avoid singing all evening.
