Here are just a few examples of how your contributions can support our work with young people in the developing world:
£300 per year pays for numeracy and literacy classes for 240 war-affected orphans and other disadvantaged children and young people in Yambio, Southern Sudan
£590 per year pays for the training and rehabilitation costs of five young ex-offenders at the Sakhitmeba Halfway House in South Africa
£750 per year pays for five youth-led radio stations in Liberia and training for war-affected young people in broadcasting skills so they not only have the chance to improve their lives but also to play a key role in bringing news and advice to their local communities
£1000 per year pays for nutritional support for 25 disadvantaged children and young people taking part in HIV/AIDS prevention work in Madagascar
£3,900 pays for former child soldiers from Colombia's conflict to attend educational workshops and counselling sessions to rehabilitate them and reintegrate them back into society.
£5,225 trains 100 young people in Bolivia to become peer educators in adolescent reproductive health, helping to reduce rates of STI and HIV/AIDS infection, teenage pregnancy, and gender violence
£10,000 per year pays for the project activities in two sites of the India HIV/AIDS prevention Network. Activities include HIV education and outreach work in schools and colleges and with other high risk groups such as young sex workers. Many of these young people have no or very limited knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues before coming into contact with the Network.
