FUNDRAISING INTERN
Full-time Temporary Internship
Salary: £15,000 per annum pro rata
Y Care International is looking for a Fundraising Intern to support the Fundraising Department to source funds for international projects and for campaigns and global youth work. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an international development agency and to gain a good overview of key fundraising areas such as Trusts and Foundations and Direct Marketing.
The post-holder will primarily be supporting the submission of appeals to smaller Trust donors as well as researching and efficiently logging information on current, past and prospective funders thus enhancing the income generating capacity of the Fundraising Department. The post-holder will also provide support to the fundraising team by assisting with the writing of donor reports and letters to individual donors, assisting with the processing of fundraising income, and assisting the Director of Fundraising.
This role is based in our London office and is offered on a full-time temporary basis for a period of 3 months from Monday 1 December 2008.

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES DEPARTMENT INTERN
4 month fixed term contract from January 2008
Salary: £15,000 pro rata (including London Weighting)

Y Care International is looking for a dynamic intern to join our International Programmes Department. Working as part of the Africa team, we are looking for a highly motivated all-rounder able to apply her or his skills and talents to a range of tasks from reviewing financial and narrative reports from local partner organisations to supporting local partners in developing monitoring and evaluation tools. The work will be diverse and often challenging. As our work covers Francophone countries we are looking for someone able to work comfortably in French.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in International Development or related discipline
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French (essential)
• Experience of living and/or working in a developing country
• Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel
• Strong research and editing skills
• A good eye for detail

LEARNING AND EVALUATION VOLUNTEER

Y Care International is looking for a Learning and Evaluation Volunteer to provide support to the Learning and Evaluation Manager in areas of thematic research, learning and impact assessment - working across the range of Y Care International’s programmes in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills that could help a motivated volunteer develop a career in the international development sector.
This role is based at our London office and is available on a part-time basis. Please note that we are not able to offer a salary for this position. However, Greater London travel (up to Zone 6) and lunch expenses will be provided.
