Youth participation

The young people Y Care International work with around the world identified youth justice as something they felt passionate about and wanted to campaign together on. We’ve worked with them to plan the campaign from the outset, including coming up with the campaign’s name. 

Young people though their YMCAs in six countries (Honduras, Ireland, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo and the UK) are at the heart of the Youth Justice in Action campaign. They have been investigating youth justice systems in their own countries, sharing their experiences, and campaigning for change.
