Building a brighter future in Sudan

Y Care International is supporting its YMCA partner to provide food, education, basic health and social care and recreational facilities to vulnerable orphans in Yambio, southern Sudan. Because Yambio was seen a safe enclave during the civil war, hundreds of war orphans now live there, cared for by local families. The YMCA is enabling them to access primary education by providing school fees and supplies and holding additional literacy and numeracy classes at the YMCA centre.
