Seed Funding Programme launched

The second Y Care International Seed Funding Programme is now open for applications. Funded by DfID (the Department for International Development), the programme offers small grants to members of our Youth Workers Network to carry out short-term global youth work projects at their YMCAs.

This year we have a total of £15,000 to give to global youth work projects. We are offering up to 15 grants of up to £1000 for each YMCA for projects taking place between April 2009 and March 2010. All successful YMCAs will receive support from Y Care International throughout the planning, implementation and evaluation of their project.

The Seed Funding Programme is designed to provide YMCAs with funding to run engaging pieces of global youth work with marginalized young people on topics including Youth Justice, HIV/AIDS, conflict and youth citizenship. More details and a downloadable application form can be found below. The closing date for applications is: Friday 24 April 2009.
