Youth Justice in Action campaign kicks off its first Solidarity Day
26 September 2008
Y Care International's Youth Justice in Action campaign is hosting six solidarity days over the coming months to bring young people together from the six campaign partner countries.
The first Solidarity Day kicked off in style on the 12th September in Honduras.
Over 100 young people marched in the capital, Tegucigalpa, to protest against the murders and violence inflicted on young people in the country. At the same time in the UK, young people came together in solidarity with fellow campaigners in Honduras. Young people from YMCAs across England and Wales met in London to learn about youth justice issues in Honduras and add their voice to the campaign.
