A group of young campaigners at Kingston & Wimbledon YMCA, London, have made a music video to promote the issue of youth justice.

Residents at the YMCA came up with the idea of writing a song to highlight the issue.

After attending music and songwriting workshops, they composed a song and rap and produced the video from scratch, with a small grant from Y Care International. They even got local residents and police involved to give the video a humorous twist.

The song speaks out against the negative stereotyping of young people, promoting the message that young people can make a positive change in the world.

Tyrell, who helped run the project, says: “We need to bridge the gap and I feel that this track is a starting point to show youth that we understand and things can change if we speak out."
