Yambio's orphans

Yambio is a community of war orphans. Many children lost their mothers through childbirth or disease and their fathers on the frontline of the conflict which lasted over 20 years and claimed 2 million lives.

Surprisingly, given its remote location, Yambio has a YMCA. Before Y Care International's intervention, the YMCA had been running with no resources and just the dedication of volunteers. Now Y Care International is supporting the YMCA to run a primary school and provide basic food and heathcare to Yambio's orphans.
